Michigan state-wide speed limit on the water is 55 mph.
Powered watercraft must operate at a slow, no wake speed limit within 100 feet of a dock, raft, anchored boat, swimmer or within 100 feet of the shoreline or water depth of 3 feet or less.
High speed boating must be done in a counter-clockwise direction around the lake whenever
possible.
Powered watercraft must yield right-of-way to unpowered watercraft.
All watercraft must carry a PFD for each person on board.
No more than two powered watercraft of more than 10 horse power per parcel of land.
Jet Skis (All Personal Watercraft)
Operating hours are 8:00 AM until one hour before sunset
Slow, no wake speed: Where water depth is less than 2 feet, within 100 feet of dock, raft or
swimmer, within 150 feet of another vessel.
PWC are requested to confine high speed activities to the central, deep part of the lake.
Fireworks
Fireworks use is only allowed on the day preceding, day of, and day after a National holiday.
(Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day)
Be considerate and do not use fireworks after 11:00 PM.
Dark Skies
All exterior lighting must be shielded, and no light is permitted to extend above the 90° horizontal plane.
No lighting shall be more than 20 ft. high.
All light shall be directed away from adjacent properties to avoid light trespass.
Floodlighting is discouraged and if used must be shielded.
This regulation of light pollution will allow residents nighttime enjoyment of the dark sky.

Drive slowly and safely; look out for pedestrians, children, bicycles, and pets.
Keep noise to a minimum. Avoid loud music after 10:00 PM.
Park boats and trailers away from the road.
